DAVE ARNOLD

Dave Arnold has been in leadership and investment roles building shareholder value for international and technology businesses over the past twenty-five years. He is experienced in managing and building human and financial capital in private and publicly-held companies involved in telecommunications networks and services, Internet-based infrastructure software and services, marine and industrial fuel distribution, environmental remediation, and education services.

After graduate school, Mr. Arnold worked in a variety of finance and planning positions with Burlington Northern, Inc., a Fortune 500 diversified energy and transportation company. As Senior Corporate Planner, he was involved in several of its significant energy-related acquisitions, coordinated the strategic planning process for the holding company, and as Chief Financial Officer for one of its subsidiaries, negotiated a capacity sharing agreement for a fiber optic and digital microwave network with a major long distance carrier.

Dave then managed the successful turnaround and expansion of Pacific Northern Inc., a regional energy distribution company, first as its CFO, and then as President and CEO, taking it from a financial loss position to profitability, raising new equity capital, acquiring and integrating other companies profitably, developing rapid-growth new lines of business within positive cash flow, generating solid returns on invested capital with over $250 million in annual revenues, and operating in 65 countries.

Next, in a start-up company from a concept phase, first as Chief Operating Officer, and then President and CEO of Intermind Corporation, he built the team that successfully launched a publish and subscribe software product enabling connected users to easily create multi-media channels of content and communicate information customized to the interests of a precise target audience. The underlying patented technology for automating information exchange was conceived as an open platform for exchanging XML data between disparate systems with privacy, security, and synchronization controls.

Subsequently, as Chief Operating Officer for a public company providing an education oriented software service, Mr. Arnold recruited and led the team that produced consecutive quarters of 100%+ revenue growth over the prior years, added four million end users, negotiated strategic distribution partnerships with three global telecom and trading companies, and achieved a $240 million or 133% increase in market capitalization. Mr. Arnold earned an A.B. degree from Cornell University with majors in history, psychology, and education, and an M.B.A. degree from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
